Studio provides a simulated virtual environment in which 3D data may be viewed and managed. Understanding how to work within this virtual environment is key to gleaning insights into data to be able to make decisions for example, in relation to modelling, drive design, pit design etc.  Who benefits?  Geologists and Mining Engineers. Anyone who needs to work with 3D views.   Learning Pathway There are no prerequisites for this course. It’s suitable for complete beginners. Knowledge Check There is a quiz which is designed to check knowledge gained. You are allowed 3 attempts. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Completion. Survey At the end of the course, you will be asked to complete a survey. This should take around 5 minutes. Your feedback is important. We will use your responses to determine improvements we need to make to enhance your learning experience. Read more

Studio supports a range of data types and formats. In this course, you will learn how to work with these in the Studio environment. You will also learn the relationship between Files, Objects, Overlays and Projections (Plots). Understanding these concepts and the way Studio manages data, will ensure you are able to work efficiently with your data. Who benefits? All Studio Product Owners. A legend is a convenient way of assigning a consistent but unique categorization to a predefined value, or range of values. By creating and using legends, the display or evaluation of data may be made both distinctive and consistent. Adopting a systematic use of legends makes the interpretation of data more intuitive. In this course you will learn about the various legend types and how to create these. You will progressively learn how to create more complex legends using filtering and apply visual formatting aspects such as colours, symbol, textures and more. You will be able to create a legend used to categorize reserves data and share legends to provide project-wide consistency across your organisation. The course consists of five learning modules. You will have the opportunity to practice what you have learnt using the downloadable dataset. Who benefits? Geologists and Mining Engineers. Anyone who works with Overlays. In this course you will learn how to model hanging and/or footwall surfaces of vein-like structures using the Studio RM’s Vein from Samples tool. Its unique Minimum Curvature algorithm produces realistic geological models from known sample points. You'll learn about the other tools on offer, such as Additional Points options to fine-tune the model to meet realistic geological constraints.  Each module is dedicated to a particular function or functional group, and by the end you'll understand how each area can be used to produce the optimal result (or results, using the batch run facility). The course consists of 10 learning modules and a final summary. At the end of each module, you will have the opportunity to practice what you have learnt using the downloadable dataset. Suggested answers and discussion are provided at the start of the subsequent module. Who benefits? Geologists. Anyone who needs to create automated vein models. Learning Pathway This course makes reference to several key concepts in Studio software. As such, if you're unfamiliar with the subjects, we recommended you complete the following courses before this one: Filter Data in Studio Products Navigate the Studio Interface Work with 3D Views Work with Data in Studio Work with Legends Work with Sections in the 3D Window Knowledge Check There is a quiz which is designed to check knowledge gained.
